Going Virtual with The Dinner Party
Join us for a live interview on how to go virtual during the pandemic with Carla Fernandez and Mary Horn of The Dinner Party
Wondering how the heck your people—teammates, coworkers, allies—will stick together through this winter?
Us too.
So we're turning to community leaders who have artfully navigated COVID-19 for inspiration. First on our list: the extraordinary leaders behind The Dinner Party.
Join us on Friday, November 20th at 9:15 am PT / 12:15 pm ET.
Bailey and Kevin will host a live conversation with the co-founder Carla and special guest Mary Horn, Community Manager at The Dinner Party. Together, we’ll learn from their efforts to go virtual.
The Dinner Party brings together a worldwide community of 20- and 30-somethings who have each experienced the loss of a loved one. “We know what it’s like to lose someone and we aren’t afraid to talk about it,” their website shares.
Before the pandemic more than 400 Dinner Party tables were regularly meeting in nearly 100 cities around the world. When COVID-19 arrived in March, in-person dinner parties were no longer an option and the community had to transform how they gathered. Since going virtual, they have added 70 new tables and launched a buddy program.
The Dinner Party learned that it’s possible to spark authentic conversations through a screen and to cultivate a real community with people who may never meet in-person.
And their community members are continuing to show up for this reason.
